Offering a set of Victorian advertising trade cards, circa 1890.
This set features a trade card for a dry goods merchant, on an excellent blue tinted rural snow landscape. There is a church in the distance. Obverse is blank.
One is a brand advertising card for Miners Soap and a bright illustration of homes with trees and a boy playing with his dog. Obverse is blank. The bottom left corner has an obvious crease.
One is a trade card for a Fancy Goods Merchant with a bright illustration of a horse drawn wagon and a sailboat entitled “Autumn”. Obverse is blank.
One is a trade card featuring quack medicine in Illinois and an illustration of a farm with hay bales and pink roses entitled “Summer”. The obverse extols the virtues of Raspberry Balsam.
These are in suitable-for-collector condition, however, with antique paper, buyer should expect condition to be commiserate, and as shown in photographs. These will ship for free within the United States.
